BEHIND THE BRUSH

On the day of his twentieth birthday in the summer of 2024, William Pollard’s first Chatsworth event raised £1,600 for charities including Ashgate Hospice, Dementia UK, and the NSPCC. In just 18 months of self-employment, William’s work has reached collectors worldwide—from musicians and rappers to art enthusiasts across the UK—through original oils, limited-edition prints, and bespoke commissions.

This painting captures a quintessential summer scene: the iconic Chatsworth House, framed perfectly beneath the stone arch of James Paine’s Three Arch Bridge. The flowing River Derwent leads the eye toward the grandeur of the stately home, while a trio of ducks drift peacefully in the foreground. It is a composition that celebrates both the 530-year history of this Derbyshire jewel and the timeless elegance of its surroundings.

Offered in support of the Derbyshire Charity Clay Shoot, the original sold at auction on the day to an anonymous bidder. However, this celebrated view of Chatsworth remains available as high-quality canvas prints and fine-art giclée prints in a range of sizes, allowing admirers to own a piece of this enduring vision.

William will also be available to discuss bespoke commissions, continuing his mission to create art that both captures beauty and contributes to meaningful causes.
