I Don’t Need a Gun Cause She Dressed to Kill
SIZE: ( 150 x 100cm )
OIL ON CANVAS/MIXED MEDIA
YEAR: 2025
A bold and seductive fusion of pop culture and fine art, ‘I Don’t Need a Gun Cause’ She Dressed to Kill draws its inspiration from the legendary James Bond films, where glamour and danger are never far apart. The painting’s meticulously rendered legs—crossed in unapologetic confidence—command the viewer’s attention, framed by bold crimson text, handcrafted, luxury diamond heels and cinematic symbols of intrigue: a gleaming pistol, scattered banknotes, and the aftermath of a perfect shot.
Every brushstroke in this 150 x 100 cm oil on canvas heightens the drama, evoking the archetypal Bond femme fatale—an elegant force who needs no weapon beyond her style, wit, and presence. This work is as much a visual narrative as it is a statement: in the right hands, allure can be deadlier than any gun.
BEHIND THE BRUSH
“Looking back now, I didn’t realise I was doing it at the time. But I must have been subconsciously creating this piece based around a girl in my life at that point in time. Which leads me to realise as I’m saying this that art truly is the way I express my feelings. So once I die. All my life lessons, struggles, wonders and joys will all speak through my paintings and you will see the evolution of my mind on this beautiful journey of life. Telling a story of self exploration.”
