Valentines Collection

Created as a heartfelt gift for a partner to present to their lover, I LOVE YOU captures the timeless, universal essence of affection—one soul admiring another in its purest form. The artist draws inspiration from a deeply personal place, choosing Adam West’s Batman and his on-screen companion Catwoman as symbols of playful romance. Growing up with the beloved 1960s television series, the artist associates this imagery with a period of life when love was understood in its most innocent and sincere state.

In this work, the iconic duo shares a milkshake, their gazes hinting at the unspoken connection between them. Bold, textured lettering spells out the painting’s message, interwoven with luxury brand motifs, marrying pop culture with contemporary visual language. The juxtaposition of nostalgia and modernity invites viewers to see love not only as a private, intimate bond, but as a universally understood language that transcends time, style, and circumstance.

With vibrant oil textures and a cinematic presence, I LOVE YOU becomes more than a Valentine’s piece—it is a celebration of admiration, playfulness, and the enduring simplicity of telling someone exactly how youfeel.

BEHIND THE BRUSH

“All I remember from how this painting came about is that I was on holiday in bed editing. I remember because I couldn’t sleep I kept picking up my phone, letting my mind run and play creatively. Think as if your minds running the same way you run round as a child in the woods. Exploring. Careless. No Rules. The only thing is when I get into that zone when creating. It can become so stimulating and euphoric when I’m creating ideas I know I can work with it’s the hard to switch your head back off and get to sleep.

On this particular night I was switching, sizes, fonts, colours of the painting through the night. Fighting my eyes as they got heavier and heavier. Until I eventually couldn’t carry on and ended up shutting my eyes drifting off into a deep, space like sleep. I saw the picture of Batman looking at Catwoman. Totally admiring and undeniably in awe of what was infront of him. As the writing and the LV font came together with the colours. I rocked myself out of my dream like state and stubbed my toe dashing to my paper and pen to sketch it down.

As one of my biggest fears at the time was how I would have brilliant, creative ideas slip from my brain never to be remembered again when they come to me in these flow like states.

At the moment I believe that ideas are given to you, to pass through you.“
